PENEFOL® 650

LDPE damp proof membrane for insulation above ground level without hydrostatic water pressure.

PENEFOL® 650 low density polyethylene (LDPE) membrane is used wherever you need a separation layer. It will also greatly serve in case you need a damp proof membrane for insulation above ground level without hydrostatic water pressure. Membrane with a thickness of 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm is mostly used also as a waterproof insulation in these cases.

Separation Layer

Membrane with a lower thickness is suitable as a separation layer in floor structures. It separates and protects individual structural layers of the floor, especially thermal insulation, etc. It is also used as insulation of wet production areas. These include, for example bathrooms, shower enclosures, and washrooms.

Installation Details

PENEFOL® 650 damp proof membrane must be completely protected against UV radiation. Therefore, protect it with geotextile on both sides. Only one thing is to be added to the assembly - the individual strips of the membrane should be connected exclusively by hot air welding without the use of an open flame.

PENEFOL® 650 is a time-proven insulation that has been protecting houses against moisture since 1992. This LDPE membrane is made in the Czech Republic.

In construction, PENEFOL® 650 is used as:

  • separation layer of floors and horizontal structures,
  • moisture insulation above ground level.

The PENEFOL® 650 waterproofing membrane, however, has its further use:

  • leather haberdashery, luggage, sports backpack and bag, and accessory reinforcement (the foil can be supplied in white),
  • packaging and protective material,
  • cut-outs, reinforcement etc.
